PM Dismisses Allegations on Change of Foreign Policy as ‘Ridiculous’
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 5 Nov.'14 / 12:50

PM Irakli Garibashvili said that allegations voiced by ex-Defense Minister Irakli Alasania as well as by Maia Panjikidze, who stepped down as Foreign Minister, about Georgia’s pro-Western foreign policy being endangered are “naive” and “ridiculous.”

“Alasania made completely reckless and irresponsible statement, I would say it was insulting for our state and for our people whose choice is European and Euro-Atlantic integration,” Garibashvili said.

“We are absolutely mobilized, we continue moving forward, life continues, nothing in fact is being changed,” he said.

“Our foreign policy course is unchanged; it is irreversible. No one can stop it. Those ridiculous and naive statements of course will have no effect at all. This is the firm choice of our country, of our state and of our government and we will bring this to the end,” Garibashvili said.
